Rotary Pole Permanent Magnetic Chuck

Rotary pole permanent magnetic chucks are designed for magnetic workholding where the pole structure supports multi-angle or rotary positioning during grinding. They are suitable for ferromagnetic workpieces that require stable holding with flexible orientation.

Send the workpiece size, grinding angle, contact area, table size and required orientation method, and we will help check the suitable rotary pole permanent magnetic chuck model.

Rotary pole permanent magnetic chuck

Product Overview

Rotary pole permanent magnetic chucks provide flexible magnetic orientation for ferromagnetic workpieces in grinding and positioning operations. They support applications requiring stable holding with adjustable workpiece orientation.

How a Rotary Pole Permanent Magnetic Chuck Works

The permanent magnetic circuit directs flux through the pole faces and the ferromagnetic workpiece without continuous electrical power. The rotary pole arrangement allows the holding orientation or pole contact to be adjusted for the required setup, then mechanically secured before machining or inspection. Magnetic performance still depends on the workpiece bridging suitable poles with adequate contact; material permeability, thickness, surface condition, air gap and the locked orientation all affect the result.

Selection Notes

Provide workpiece material, workpiece geometry, contact area, required orientation method, machine table size and grinding angle requirements for model selection.

When a Rotary Pole Magnetic Chuck Is Not Suitable

Do not use this chuck for non-ferromagnetic workpieces, poor pole contact, or an orientation outside the listed mechanical range. The rotary structure is not automatically a calibrated sine-angle device; use the appropriate angle-setting system when a traceable precision angle is required. The pole assembly must be fully locked, and the selected position must leave adequate grinding-wheel and tool clearance. Add stops or another restraint if lateral process force exceeds the available magnetic friction.

FAQ

What workpieces are rotary pole permanent magnetic chucks suitable for?

They are suitable for ferromagnetic workpieces with irregular shapes, variable contact areas or applications that need multi-direction magnetic positioning.

How is a rotary pole permanent magnetic chuck different from a standard permanent magnetic chuck?

A standard permanent magnetic chuck is mainly used for conventional flat holding, while a rotary pole structure is used when magnetic pole direction and workpiece positioning need more flexibility.

What information should I provide for model selection?

Please provide workpiece material, shape, size, contact area, machine table space and whether magnetic pole direction adjustment is needed.

What magnetic pole direction or positioning requirement should be confirmed?

Please confirm whether the workpiece needs multi-direction holding, flexible pole orientation or local positioning for irregular contact areas.

What workpiece shape and contact area should be checked?

Please provide the workpiece geometry, ferromagnetic contact area, thickness and support condition so the suitable rotary pole chuck can be selected.

Is it suitable for irregular or multi-direction setups?

Yes. Rotary pole permanent magnetic chucks are often selected when conventional flat magnetic holding does not cover the positioning requirement well.

What should be checked before installation?

Check the mounting surface flatness, magnetic switch function, workpiece contact condition and the positioning stability before production use.

What information is needed for quotation?

Please provide the workpiece material, shape, size, contact area, machine table dimensions and the required pole-orientation application.
